What Personality Traits Make a Good Franchise Owner?

I get asked this a lot:

“What kind of personality do you need to be a good franchise owner?”

It’s a great question.

Here’s what I’ve learned.

Be a Self-Starter

Even though you’re joining a proven system, you still need to bring the drive.

You have to want to get up every morning ready to build your business.

It’s not a “set it and forget it” deal.

Your energy and motivation will make all the difference.

Be a Leader

A big part of owning a franchise is leading a team.

You’ll need to inspire people, manage them well, and keep them motivated.

Your leadership will shape the culture of your business and help it grow.

Stick-With-It-ness

Franchising can be challenging.

There will be ups and downs.

Having the resilience to keep going — even when things get tough — is key.

So… What Personality Traits Make a Good Franchise Owner?

A good franchise owner is a self-starter, a leader, and someone who sticks with it.

If that sounds like you, franchising could be a great fit.
